A Little Bit About Our Routes

At Climb Nashville we view the routesetting as a very important part of your enjoyment and experience at our facility.

To accomplish this we use an industry leading route turnover rate of 11-12 weeks per route. In that time every top rope route, lead route, and boulder problem is replaced, ensuring that there is something new to climb however frequent you visit.

Weekly that breaks down to 15 new top-rope routes, 8-12 new boulder problems (with a (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) every 12th week), and the Lead cave reset every 11th week.

Lead climbing is available not only in the lead cave but also spread throughout the gym’s top-rope climbs. We have 13 bolted lines outside the lead cave each with 3 routes, that’s 39 routes! Combined with the 12 to 15 that are normally in the lead cave, that puts it over 50 lead climbs total.

The bouldering area is reset with a comp roughly every 12th week. 40 new problems go up for the competition and each week after, 8-10 new problems. Boulder problems have a V-scale grade as well as a general difficulty grade of recreational, intermediate, advanced and open.

Almost all of the 50 top-rope’s three routes are set with the novice, intermediate, and advanced climber in mind. Basically there is an easy, medium, and hard route on every rope so no matter your skill level you won’t have to search the gym for something that fits your needs.

With 150 top rope routes, 40-100 boulder problems and 50 lead climbs there is sure to be something fun and new to climb.

The routesetting staff are well trained and experienced climbers that offer a wide range of setting styles so that there is something to fit your “style” of climbing. We try to keep everything up to date and in order so if you notice anything like spinning holds or tape that’s worn off please let the routesetting staff or desk staff know so we can fix it.

Also, please let us know of any questions or comments you have concerning the routes or walls at Climb Nashville. We can be reached via (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Thanks,
The Routesetting Team
