So I’m not about resolutions and such, but I have set some goals for this year. Here are my top 6.
1) PAY IT FORWARD: A team of family & friends are starting a fundraiser for extreme poverty. I’d love to tell you about it – ask me! I’d love your involvement.
2) BUY RESPONSIBLY: I want to think more about how my purchases effect the lives of others around the globe. Does the decision to buy cheaper coffee mean that someone else was overworked and underpaid? This one will be the hardest.
3) TAKE CARE OF ALLERGIES: Learn some great toddler recipes without eggs/dairy for my little allergic kid. (If you have some, let me know!)
4) REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE: What’s up with grocers who don’t carry paper bags? And when they do carry them, they triple-bag them! This year, I’m bagging my own groceries & bringing my bags with me. Let me know if you want me to sew you up some grocery bags.
5) TRAIN: Run the Country Music Half Marathon. Presently up to a 7-mile long run!
6) READ: Just started “The End of Poverty,” by Jeffrey Sachs.

Your ambitious! I just hope to make it through the year in one piece. Acutally, I just want to finish up our kitchen remodel, read my bible more, and hopefully get on a some what regular workout routine.
