Patagonia’s Common Threads Recycling Program

When your clothes begin to fray and wear-out, Patagonia wants to take them back! Instead of ending up in a landfill, Patagonia has discovered ways to find new life for your old duds.

In 2005 they launched the Common Threads Garment Recycling Program, through which customers could return their worn out Capilene® Performance Baselayers to us for recycling. They’ve now added Patagonia fleece, Polartec® fleece from other manufacturers and Patagonia organic cotton T-shirts to their list of recyclables.

*They don’t accept clothes that can still be worn.
